Obituary For Alexander John Pyfer
Alexander John Pyfer, 23, a bright light in the lives of all who knew him, of Bloomsburg, PA, passed away June 8, 2025. Alex grew up surrounded by the warmth and love of his parents, John and Cher Hildebrand Pyfer, who cherish the memories of their son’s laughter and zest for life. He was born July 30, 2001, in Danville, PA.
Alexander graduated from Central Columbia High School in 2019 where he was a member of the National Honor Society.
He was employed by Fed Ex as a Logistics Operator.
Alexander had a wide spectrum of interests and hobbies which brought him much joy including Pokémon, gaming, drawing and painting, antiquing, bicycling, taking walks in the outdoors and loved doing outside yardwork. He loved collecting stuffed animals and was known as a “cat magnet”. He thoroughly enjoyed his trips to the beach to Wildwood, NJ.
He will be remembered as a happy person always loving to make others laugh. He was very bright, very thrifty with saving money and was always there to help others with whatever they needed. His caring, passionate and selfless heart was beyond description and will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
In addition to parents, he is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Pyfer and her fiancé, Lucas Eisenhuth. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Jeff and Gail Hildebrand and paternal grandparents, John and Marcia Turzanski., aunts and uncles; Bill Hildebrand, Michele and Nate Levitan and Stephen and Emily Turzanski.
He was preceded in death by one uncle, Erik Hildebrand July 12, 2019.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Alexander’s Life to be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA with Linda Wagner as celebrant. Friends will be received from 4:00 – 5:45 PM. We will gather not only to mourn the loss of a cherished son, grandson, brother and friend but to celebrate the indelible mark he has left on our hearts.
