Obituaries

Alice Louise Reichert, 80, of Mount Carmel, PA and formerly of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital. She was born on February 27, 1944, in Millville, PA; the daughter of the late Stanley Raymond and Bernice V. (McCarroll) Salsman.

Alice graduated from Danville Area High School in 1962.

Alice was employed as a bar manager for the former American Legion Post 91, American Legion Post 804 and the Mount Carmel VFW Post 2110.

She attended Ashland Christian Union Church.

Alice found immense joy in her hobbies, which included canning, gardening, and baking. She could often be found immersing herself in puzzles, where her quick wit and sparkling sense of humor shone brightly, bringing laughter to all around her. Alice was an avid animal lover, finding companionship and joy in her beloved cats.

She is survived by three children; Steven Milloway of Hagerstown, MD; Alison Milloway-Haak and her husband Michael of Catawissa, PA and Lester Reichert, Jr. of Sweden as well as eight grandchildren, Haley Milloway, Gary Milloway, Saga Reichert, Claire Hummel, Caemon Reichert, David (Veja) Reichert, Elizabeth Milloway, and Lincoln Reichert. Alice is also survived by one great-grandchild; Edith Interiano as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by eleven siblings.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
