Obituary For Anna Mae Hoeger

Anna Mae Hoeger, 87, of Danville, passed away at Nottingham Nursing Home, on February 11, 2024. She was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on January 31, 1937.

She lived most of her life in the greater Sunbury and Northumberland area and married the love of her life, the late Eugene Hoeger, for 53 wonderful years. Anna Mae did many things in her career but was most proud of her family.

She is survived by three children: Jeff Zerbe and wife Jeanne of Northumberland; Matthew Hoeger and wife Cynthia of Danville; Kerri Ross and husband Graham of Sugar Land, Texas. Anna Mae was also the proud grandmother to Angela, Miranda, Alyssa, Vladimir, Carter Mae and Matson and great grandchildren Liam and Alex who she loved with all her heart and was so proud of each of them. Anna Mae is also survived by her sister Betty Neidig and sisters in law Helen Zerbe and Dorothy Zerbe.

Family was the center of her world. She loved nothing more than having everyone over for dinner, baking us apple pies and her “famous” sugar cookies. She was the sort of mother who attended all our sporting and school events and was always ready for a fun-filled family vacation. Anna was a loving wife, the best mom, an awesome grandmother, a wonderful sister, a fun aunt, and a great friend to so many. She will be missed dearly, but we know that she is now resting peacefully with our dad which brings us comfort.

At the request of the family, arrangements are private with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Visneski Funeral Home, Inc 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA 17821. www.visneski.com.
