Obituary For Becky Lynn Robishaw
Becky Lynn Robishaw, 76, of Sunbury, PA, formerly Midland, Michigan, passed away leaving behind a legacy defined by compassion, service, and a deep commitment to others. Her life was a testament to quiet strength and unwavering generosity, qualities that shaped every relationship she touched. She was born on April 18, 1949, in Midland, Michigan.
Becky is survived by her loving mother, Eva Robishaw; her brothers, Richard and Doug Robishaw; her sister, Janet Robishaw; and many nieces and nephews whose lives she touched for the better. She now joins her father, Elmer Robishaw, and her sister, Susan Robishaw, who preceded her in death. The bonds she shared with her family were a constant source of joy, grounding, and purpose throughout her life.
A proud Michigan native, Becky earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University before completing her master’s in social work at the University of Michigan. Guided by a profound sense of duty to uplift others, she dedicated her entire career to serving families in inner‑city Detroit. Through decades of social work, she became a steady advocate for those facing hardship, offering support, dignity, and hope to countless individuals. Her colleagues and the families she served remember her as someone who always went the extra mile, never losing sight of the humanity in every person she met.
Becky was known for her generous, caring spirit—an innate kindness that made people feel safe, understood, and valued. She adored her cats, who brought her companionship and laughter, and she was a voracious reader who found comfort and inspiration in the written word. In her later years, she was deeply touched by the friendship of Karen Gronsky, whose presence added something truly special to her life and brought her warmth, joy, and companionship.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her impact lives on in the lives she touched, the families she strengthened, and the love she shared so freely. Becky’s memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
At the request of the family, there will be no services held.
