Carl graduated from Bloomsburg High School.
He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force as an A1C from January 30, 1962, to October 28, 1966.
Carl was married to his devoted wife, Carol Ann (Morrall) Swisher for 61 years. They were married on September 14, 1963.
He was employed as a welder for Smith Machine Work from where he retired and worked part time as a courier with VITAline Home Infusion Therapy Company.
Carl was a member of the Living Church of God, Hummelstown, PA and was baptized in the Worldwide Church of God in the 1970’s.
His strong work ethic was matched only by his passion for life outside of work. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting and fishing. Carl was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He thrived in deep, philosophical conversations over freshly brewed coffee, where he shared insights and laughter with friends and family. Carl and Carol shared a spirit of adventure that took them across the globe. Their travels led them to extraordinary places, including London, Mexico, Turkey, Australia, Trinidad, Hawaii, and Malta, creating memories that will be cherished forever. However, Carl's greatest joy came from the time spent with his family, which was at the heart of everything he valued.
