Obituary For Carl Stanley Smith

Carl Stanley Smith, 86, of Danville, PA passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. He was born on January 29, 1939, in Unityville, PA, the son of the late Ernest Monroe and Celia Edna Worthington Smith.

Carl graduated from Hughesville High School in 1957.

He is survived by the love of his life for 66 years, Donna Louise Baumer Smith, whom he adored. They were married on April 17, 1959.

A man of hard work ethic, Carl worked several jobs during his lifetime, including TRW, KVS as a machinist and P, P & L, always showing expertise and passion for his work.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Danville PA.

Carl was an avid outdoorsman who loved farming and hunting.

He had a love and a passion for all of his animals. Carl will be remembered for his quiet strength, his caregiving heart, blue eyes, dependability and commitment to his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Carol Brown and her husband David of Milton, PA; Linda Woll and her husband Donald of Danville, PA and Crystal Klipp and her husband Todd of Henderson, NV. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Rachel Mangle, Adam Shief, Marisa Post, Alexa Eslinger, and Macey Klipp as well as seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Carl’s Life to be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church 241 East Market Street Danville, PA with the Reverend Trevor J. Hahn officiating. Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville, PA.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danville Area Community Center 1041 Liberty Street Danville, PA 17821.
