Condolences

I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing! My deepest condolences to her family! I met Carolyn and Irvin many years ago, when we all used to attend the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene. They "adopted" me as their granddaughter. They would take me out for lunch with them right after church services and I will always cherish those memories. They also came to my wedding in 2011 and stayed in touch with me through writing letters and always sending my family birthday cards and anniversary cards. She will be missed! I love Carolyn and Irvin very much...they really were like grandparents to me! I take comfort in knowing she's now an angel in heaven! -Tomara Downs

I am so sorry for your loss. Carolyn was an amazingly patient figure during my formative years. She was my bus driver while attending Danville schools. It takes courage to do that job, and she was so caring to us all! For instance, each Christmas she would make some type of craft (crocheted Christmas stockings and filled them with candy canes). I have so many fond memories of Carolyn during the trying times of adolescence! She was a comfort.

I knew Carolyn from being her neighbor. Her and Irv were always willing to help anyone they could. She was always pleasant and smiling even when she wasn't feeling like it. Our sympathy and prayers are with the entire family in this hard time. Hopefully you will be comforted by the thought of knowing she is with Jesus, this I am sure of because the way she lived each and every day showed us this without a doubt. She will be missed by us. Dave & Holly Watts.
