Obituary For Cathleen Sandra Eltringham

Cathleen Sandra Eltringham, a beloved teacher, adored mother, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Cathleen was born on August 19, 1939, in Coal Township to Forrest and Anna Curran, who preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Eltringham, who passed away on January 17, 2012. They were married on November 3, 1956. Cathleen was also preceded in death by her second husband, Boyd E. Pick, on September 26, 2018. They were married on September 24, 2016.

From an early age, Cathleen possessed a passion for learning and dedicated her life to education. She excelled academically and obtained a master's degree in education. Cathleen's commitment to her students and her desire to make a positive impact in their lives shaped her approach as an exceptional teacher. Her kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication to her profession touched the lives of countless students throughout her inspiring career.

Cathleen was not only a teacher but also a devoted mother. She shared a deep and loving bond with her children. Cathleen's love and support were unwavering, and she was a pillar of strength in their lives. Her legacy lives on through her children, who will remember her for her remarkable strength, compassion, and selflessness. In her personal life, Cathleen enjoyed spending time with her family and building memories that will forever be treasured.

She loved reading, gardening, and taking long walks in nature. Cathleen's caring nature extended to her friendships, and she will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Surviving are her children, Charles Eltringham, Jr., Kevin Eltringham (Michelle), Cate Taylor (Tom), Rebekah DePinto (Scott), and Martin Eltringham; step-children Robert Pick and Vicky Sawyer; siblings, Tim Curran (Marie), Danny Curran (Lily), Molly Rosso (Sal), Terry Curran (Joanne), and Larry Curran (AnnMarie); grandchildren, Jeffrey Eltringham (Lulu), Lindsay Eltringham, Amanda Taylor-Edmondson (Gary), Nathan Taylor (Alicia), Kristen Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Erica Schaeffer (Tom), Kevineric Eltringham, KaSandra Eltringham (Jason), Raymond Eltringham, Gabrielle DePinto, Madalyn DePinto, Brian DePinto, Evan Eltringham, and Danielle Eltringham; great-grandchildren, Ethan Eric Eltringham, Elijah James Rose, Juliana Maria Morales, Reilly Jones, Jackson Jones, Charleigh Eltringham, Jeffrey Eltringham Jr., Dylan Edmondson, Colby Edmondson, Ella Edmondson, Jackson Schaeffer, Kelsey Schaeffer, Trey Taylor, Kaylee Taylor, Cameron Bickel, Adyn Bickel, Eliana Bickel, Catalina Drogalis, Breann Bickel, Brayleigh Bickel. She was preceded in death by one son; Brian Keith Eltringham, three siblings; Dennis Curran, Maurine Hartman, and Forrest "Jim" Curran; one son-in-law, Tom Taylor; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Love Dale and Damien James Drogalis.

A Celebration of Cathleen's Life will be held at First Baptist Church 12 Brookside Drive Danville PA (Off 642 E) in Danville, PA, on Saturday, August 26, at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Dawes J. Dunham officiating. The family will host a visitation from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.

Cathleen's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, kind spirit, and genuinely compassionate nature.
