Obituary For Christine I. Hassinger

Christine Irene Hassinger, 59, of Danville, PA, passed away on May 10, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1964, in Toms River, NJ, the daughter of the late Maynard Craig Walshaw and the late Lucille Irene Mull Walshaw Snyder.

She graduated from Shikellamy High School.

Professionally, Christine dedicated her time to housekeeping in the healthcare industry, being employed in the Housekeeping Department at Geisinger Medical Center and previously at Rolling Hills Manor in Harleton, PA.

She enjoyed gardening. She loved watching football and was a Denver Broncos fan. Christine loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.

She is survived by one son: Blair T. Wentz and his wife Jenny of Port Trevorton, PA and one daughter, Megan I. Hauck and her husband Kyle of Mifflinburg, PA as well as her two granddaughters: Violet and Madeline Hauck. Also surviving are two sisters:

Sally Simmons and her husband Rod and Wendy Breon and her husband Paul; both from Northumberland, PA as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her significant other, Jeff Carr of Danville, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenneth Snyder.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers. The family requests that any donations could be made to the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. to cover her funeral expenses.
