Obituary For Clara Marie (Buchhalter) Hauck
Clara Marie (Buchhalter) Hauck of Danville, PA; went to be home with her lord & savior, peacefully surrounded by her daughters on July 8, 2026, at the age of 91. Clara was born in Danville on August 23, 1934, to the late John & Dolores (Best) Buchhalter.
She graduated High School in 1952.
Clara married the love of her life, Harold Hauck, on November 8, 1952. They celebrated 67 wonderful years together until his death on March 22, 2020.
She worked many different jobs throughout her life; including working as a nurse’s aide, and in the Medical Records department at Geisinger. She also managed the Oven Door Bakery in Danville.
In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and roller skating, WPGM programs, and reading her bible. Clara had a love of music, reading, good conversation, cooking and baking. She showed her love through sharing these talents with her homemade potpie, apple dumplings, puddings, and pies along with her infamous Sunday dinners. Clara’s main role throughout her life was that of a devoted wife, mother & grandmother, she loved her family endlessly.
She is survived by four daughters; Karen Jenkins of Bloomsburg, Barbara Rollman of Arizona, Mary Lubeski and her husband Rich of Danville, and Christina Hauck of Danville as well as six grandchildren: Barbie Castorena, of Arizona, Paul Austin Houseknecht of Arizona, Kelly Smaniotto of Ohio, Leah Ensley of Virginia, Sarah Klein of Ohio and Nathan Lubeski of Danville. Clara is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as one sister, Beryl Neitz of Arizona. As well as several nieces & nephews and friends who enjoyed her company.
In addition to her husband and parents, Clara was preceded in death by two brothers, John Buchhalter, and Keith Buchhalter; two sisters, Emma Woll, & Mary Louise (Miz) Kemp. As well as her beloved son-in-law, Robert Jenkins.
While our hearts are broken and we will miss her immensely, we know she is with our lord and savior & reunited with Harold. Words cannot express our loss; we will hold you in our hearts until we meet again to share eternity with you.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Harold and Clara’s Life on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 42 W. Mahoning St., Danville, PA. Friends will be received from 11:00-11:45am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Danville. Military rites will be accorded by the United States Army National Honor Guard and the Danville American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.
