Diane Marie LaMotte, 66, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, June 29, 2026. She was born on July 13, 1959; the daughter of Paul Hutchison, Sr. of Danville and the late Audrey (Savage) Hutchison.

She was a devoted wife to Bruce LaMotte and a loving mother to Jennifer Beach (Bill Beach) and Nathan LaMotte. Diane was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tyler Beach, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Knapp, her husband Leon Knapp, and their children Stephanie, Laura, and Harry, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory. In addition to her mother, Audrey Hutchison, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Hutchison Jr.

A graduate of Danville High School and Danville Practical Nursing School, Diane was a practicing Licensed Practical Nurse at Grandview Nursing Home, where she dedicated many years of caring service before retiring in 2017. Her compassion, kindness, and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on those she worked with and cared for.

Diane embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. She was an active member of the Kiwanis Club and the Danville Moose and enjoyed giving back to her community. She loved traveling, bowling, and playing tennis, and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her family and friends. One of her proudest accomplishments was completing the Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco, reflecting her adventurous spirit and determination.

Above all, Diane will be remembered for the love she shared with those around her. Her warmth, laughter, generous heart, and unwavering support for her family and friends will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family will hold two Celebrations of Life to honor and remember Diane.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a first Celebration of Life on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 42 W. Mahoning St., Danville, PA with Pastor Emily Mendoza officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30am-10:45am. Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery Columbarium, Danville.

A second Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the East End Fire Company, 954 Bloom Road, Danville at 4:00 PM.

The family asks that those who knew Diane honor her memory by spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, and celebrating life with the same joy and kindness that she brought to others every day.
