Donald F. Dewalt, 72, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA on November 4, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1954, in Danville, PA, the son of the late Donald G. and Eleanor Childs Dewalt.

He graduated from Columbia Montour Vocational Technical School.

He was married for 52 years to his devoted wife, Susan Shreck Dewalt. They were married March 23, 1974.

Donald was employed as a machinist for over 10 years at TRW in Danville, PA.

He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting and fishing. His talents in gardening were notable, and he enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, coming up with lots of ideas and inventions.

Donald will be remembered as a man who loved to be home with his family. He was a faithful and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His sense of humor was significant causing lots of laughter and memories throughout the years. Throughout his life, he was a source of strength and support for his family and friends, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Jason D. Dewalt of Mount Dora, FL and Brook T. Dewalt of Danville, PA and two daughters: Beth A. Dewalt of Royersford, PA and Mary G. Dewalt of Danville, PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Morgan, Chris, Camden and Carson. Also surviving is one brother, Terry Dewalt and his wife Stephanie of Bloomsburg, PA and two sisters: Donna Tobias and her husband Charles of Bloomburg, PA and Vicky Hare of Northumberland, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry DeFebo.

Services will be private.
