Obituary For Donald W. Fasold

Donald W. Fasold, 79, of Danville, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. He was born March 15, 1943, in Danville, PA; the son of the late Donald F. and S. Lucille Fox Fasold.

Don graduated from Danville Area High School in 1961 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from Susquehanna University in 1968.

He was married for 55 years to his devoted wife, Patricia E. Leiser Fasold. They were married September 2, 1967.

Don was employed by Wickes Lumber Corporation as a salesman then went on to Geisinger Medical Center. He then went to Your Building Centers, from which he retired.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Danville, and American Legion Post 40 of Danville.

Don enjoyed trivia, sudoku, crosswords, and word scrambles as well as traveling and reading. He enjoyed going out to eat with his wife and family. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his deep love and concern for his many friends and devoted family, all of whom he adored. Don was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Don is survived by one daughter; Jennifer S. Fasold-Trimble and her husband R. Christopher of Normal, Illinois and one son; Bryan S. Fasold and his wife Jada of Danville, PA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; Kortney, JoElle, and Johnathan Fasold and Matthew, Elizabeth, and Rebecca Trimble. Don is also survived by one brother; James Fasold of Danville, PA, and one niece; Amanda Lewis, her husband Kenny and their son, Nolan of Commerce City, Colorado.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Don’s Life on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 42 West Mahoning Street, Danville, PA 17821 with Pastor David Layser officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 84 Lombard Avenue, Danville, PA 17821.
