Obituary For Donovan William Hurley

Donovan William Hurley, 56, of Danville, PA, passed away on January 4, 2024, at his residence. He was born March 15, 1967, in Bloomsburg, PA, the son of the late Charles E. and Mildred Stigerwalt Hurley.

Donovan graduated from Danville Area High School in 1985.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janis Marie Wemple Hurley. They were married on August 20, 1994.

Donovan was employed as an environmental service laborer by Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA.

An avid outdoorsman, Donovan enjoyed fishing especially in Canada. His greatest enjoyment in life was his family.

He will be remembered for the love and devotion he held for his six cats who were his constant companions.

In addition to his wife and his cats, he is survived by two daughters; Mariena Hurley and her partner Christopher Lombardo of Drexel Hill, PA and Natalie Notestine and her husband Tyler of Danville as well as two grandchildren; Lennox and Leon Notestine. He is also survived by two brothers; Butch Hurley of Berwick and Michael Hurley of Danville and one sister; Holly Hurley of Danville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

In addition to his parents, Donovan was preceded in death by one brother, Scott Hurley.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
