Emily Mae Thomas, 98, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, at her home. She was born at home July 20, 1926, in Danville PA, the daughter of the late William Jacob and Bessie Ellen Johnson Fryling.

Emily graduated from Danville High School in 1944.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frederick Samuel Thomas. They were married on November 23, 1946.

Emily enjoyed being a secretary for TRW in Danville PA for 32 years, from 1952-1984, from where she retired.

She was a member of Shiloh United Church of Christ for 78 years.

Emily found comfort in music, and she found her greatest joy in her family gatherings. Beyond music, she loved the simple pleasures of life, from lively games of Pinochle with friends, watching game shows, Bingo, and the quiet contemplation of Word Finds.

Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will forever be etched in our hearts. She was a "sweet Nana," a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Ellen Reeder and her husband, Terry of Danville PA and one son, Randall F. Thomas of Bluffton, SC. She was also survived by five grandchildren: Jennifer, Joshua, Lisa, Michael and Jamie; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Irene Driscoll and one daughter-in-law, Karen Thomas.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
