Obituary For Franklin Donald Brent, Jr.

Franklin Donald Brent, Jr., 62, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 25, 2024. He was born on December 16, 1961, in Danville, PA; a son of the late, Franklin and Isabella (Kluck) Brent, Sr.

Frank graduated from Danville Area High School in 1980.

He was married to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Sandra “Sandy” (Brady) Brent for 37 years. They were married on May 17, 1986.

Frank was employed by Trivium Packaging, Bloomsburg, PA, most recently as a supervisor, for over 35 years.

He was an active member of First Baptist Church, Danville, PA

A lifelong, avid sportsman, Frank could often be found hunting, fishing, and enjoying all the great outdoors had to offer. The only thing he enjoyed more than spending time in God’s creation was spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Frank was often referred to as “MacGyver” because of his uncanny ability to create and fix things. His welcoming and generous nature left an impression on all who encountered him. Frank will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two loving sons; Travis Brent (Emily) of Virginia and Tyler Brent of Bloomsburg, PA. Frank is also survived by his two grandchildren, Blake Taylor and Easton James Brent, whom he adored. He is also survived by two sisters; Roxanne and Mary, both of Danville, PA. Frank is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom he adored.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter; Taylor Lee Brent in 1997 and one sister; AnnMarie Binder.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Franklin’s Life to be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 12 Brookside Drive (Route 642 East), Danville with his faithful and devoted friend, Reverend Dawes J. Dunham officiating. Friends will be received from 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danville Fishing Derby, PO Box 297, Danville, PA 17821 and First Baptist Church, 12 Brookside Drive (Route 642 East), Danville, PA 17821.
