Gerald L. “Jerry” Brady, affectionately known as “Bear,” 67, of Riverside, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of November 3, 2025. He was born on May 5, 1958, in Danville, Pennsylvania, the son of the late James Patrick Brady and Joan Marie (Mordan) Brady of Danville.

Jerry is survived by the love of his life and fiancé, Tracy Shobert, of Riverside. In addition to his fiancé, he is survived by his mother (Joan), two brothers: J. Scott Brady of Shavertown, Pennsylvania, and David M. Brady of Danville, and two sisters: Sharon K. Sudol of Danville, and Kay M. Brady family so sorry, A Tribute to My Friend, Jerry I grew up with Jerry — from grade school all the way through after high school. We always got along; it just came naturally. We had our share of adventures, especially on Halloween. We'd "tic-tack" around the neighborhood, getting into harmless fun. I remember one year we rolled pumpkins up a hill from a nearby field. Jerry, of course, picked the biggest one he could find. But before we could make it to the top, something startled him, and he had to run — letting that big pumpkin roll right back down the hill! We laughed until our sides hurt. He was the kind of friend who shared everything — even his love for baseball. Every now and then, he'd let me play with him, and we'd spend evenings throwing pears at bats just to see if we could hit one (we never did!). As we grew older, Jerry found his rhythm with a guitar. I can still see him sitting on his porch, strumming "Sweet Home Alabama." I'd sit across the street, at my bedroom window, and sing along. Those were simple times, but they meant the world. One summer evening, we were both just hanging around with nothing to do. I told him I liked his car, and without hesitation he said, "Let's go for a ride in my big old car!" So off we went, cruising down the quiet roads. After a while, I asked him why he was driving so slowly. He grinned and said, "I can't see driving fast. I'm going to get somewhere sometime." That was Jerry — easygoing, funny, and full of heart. He didn't need to rush through life; he enjoyed the ride. I'll always remember him that way — guitar in hand, smile on his face, and that big old car rolling steady down the road. Nancy Reilly -Haefner

Jerry was a good guy. Spend many days in his parents yard, playing whatever sport was in season, with him and his brothers Scott & Dave. Big part of my youthful memories with the Riverside Brady boys
