Gerald P. Andrusis, 78, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born on December 28, 1947, in Nanticoke, PA, the son of the late John and Valeria “Viola” (Wytashek) Andrusis.

Gerald graduated from Newport High School in 1967

He was married to the late Freida Kay Flanagan Andrusis, for 42 years. They were married on September 4, 1976.

Gerald was employed by Watsontown Trucking for over 20 years.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville.

He enjoyed taking walks and going on bike rides. Gerald understood that family was at the heart of happiness. He took great delight in spending time with his loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and making every moment count.

He is survived by one son; John V. Andrusis of Danville, PA and two daughters; Jennifer Andrusis Healy of Barrington, New Hampshire and Cynthia Andrusis Young and her husband Bryan of Bloomsburg PA. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; Jacob, Jedediah, Ashley, Ryan, Alyssah, Madison, Nathan, John, Jr., Jayden, Carson, Carter and Liam as well as four great-grandchildren, Zah-maad, Zah-kier, Hazel and one on the way. Gerald is also survived by one sister, Rosemary Chismar of Swoyersville, PA and her two sons Jim Czyzyski of Nanticoke, Tom Czyzyski and his wife Marybeth of Swoyersville PA as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son Gerald P. Andrusis, Jr. on October 17, 2014, and one sister, MaryAnn Grevera on April 10, 2025.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Gerald’s Life to be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11:00AM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 42 W. Mahoning St., Danville, PA with the Pastor Elizabeth George officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00AM-10:45AM. Burial will be private at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.
