Giselle K. Mierzwa, 77, of Riverside, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at her residence. She was born April 15, 1945, in Nanticoke, PA, the daughter of the late George and Veronica Jarick Sabanos.

She was married to the love of her life Michael E. Mierzwa for 56 years. They were married on November 26, 1966.

Giselle was devoted to her family. She treasured the camping trips and the fellowship with those she was with. She had a selfless heart, always wanting to help others where she could. Giselle will be remembered for the love displayed to so many in her life, all of whom will miss her dearly.

She is survived by one daughter; Michele Stewart and her husband Jimmy of Hanover, MD and one son; Steven Mierzwa of Riverside, PA. She is also survived by two sisters: Anne Gryziec and Margaret Kashatus.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Joseph Sabanos and one sister Mary Ezzyk.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
