Gloria M. Romberger, 93, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Emmanuel Hall Hospice in Danville surrounded by her family. Gloria was born in Millersburg, PA on December 23, 1930, the daughter of the late George and Cordelia Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Romberger. After they were married, they moved to Danville, where she worked as a teacher’s aide at Liberty Valley Elementary School. Gloria was also employed at KVS and Montour County courthouse.

Gloria loved to cook. She was always looking for something new to try and share with family and friends. Gloria also enjoyed exchanging recipes with people. She and her husband Bob joined Grove Presbyterian Church in Danville in 1951. Gloria was the second longest member of Grove Presbyterian Church in Danville having attended there for 73 years. She sang in the choir for most of those years and served many homemade treats at the fellowship hour over the years.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Judy and husband Gene Gillaspy of Northumberland, and son Scott Romberger of Danville. She is also survived by grandchildren Shaun Gillaspy, Christopher Gillaspy, Lindsey Freeman, Nathan Romberger, Katie Frisbee, eleven great grandchildren, two nieces and a brother, William Nelson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Randy in 2019

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Gloria’s life on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:30am at Grove Presbyterian Church, 376 Bloom Street, Danville, PA with the Reverend Dr. Robert J. Andrews officiating. Friends will be received from 10:30am to 11:15am. Burial will be private in the Grove Presbyterian Memorial Garden.

The family will provide flowers.
