Obituaries

Gregory Lee Spickard, 58, of Danville, PA, passed away on Tuesday July 25, 2023, at his residence. He was born February 14, 1965, in Sunbury, PA, the son of the late Daniel Spickard, Sr. and Sandra (Eisenhart) Spickard.

Greg graduated from Danville Area High School in 1983.

He served his country with honor in the United States Navy from February 14, 1984, to February 12, 1988.

Greg was employed as a Forklift Mechanic for over 30 years.

He was a member of the Friendship and Southside Fire Companies.

Greg enjoyed riding ATV’s. While helping his dad and brother, his passion grew for restoring old cars. You could always find Greg in his garage spending quality time with his family and friends. Greg was a loyal friend with a generous heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his faithful furry friend, Ryder, whom he adored. Greg is also survived by four sisters; Sandy Spickard of Danville, DeeDee Brown of Berwick, Laurie Brown (Basil) of Bloomsburg and Cindy Metzger of Danville as well as two brothers; Daniel Spickard, Jr. (Linda) and Richard Spickard (Kelly), both of Danville and one aunt; Shirley Eisenhart of Milton. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews: eighteen great-nieces and nephews and several cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother in law, Barry Brown.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Greg’s Life on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 3:00pm at Twin Hollows Farm, 17 Twin Hollow Lane, Danville, PA. Military rites will be accorded by the United States Navy and the Danville American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard.
