Obituary For James Everett Wilson

James Everett Wilson, 85, of Wyboo, South Carolina and formerly of Mountain Top, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Emmanuel Center for Nursing in Danville, Pennsylvania. He was born January 29, 1939, in Monroe City, Missouri, the son of the late Elmo and Lucy (Saunders) Wilson.

James graduated from Monroe City High School, Missouri, in 1957 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in accounting.

He served his country with honor in the United States Navy.

He was married to his loving wife of 25 years, Diane (Gamble) Wilson. They were married on October 1, 1998.

James was employed as an accountant at Owens-Illinois for over 30 years.

He was an avid golfer whose greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by two sons; Nicholas Wilson of Danville, PA and Frederick Gustave and his wife Emily of Pittsburgh, PA as well as three grandchildren; Emma Wilson, Philip Gustave, and AJ Gustave. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Wilson and two sisters: Annie Wilson and Wanda Wilson.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

    My sympathies to Jim's family. He was a neighbor, friend, in my brother,Howard) class at Holy Rosary School for 12 years. May Jim rest in peace!
