Obituary For Joseph Charles Nikodemski

Joseph Charles Nikodemski,92, of Danville, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on Friday, March 10, 2023, at his residence. He was born January 29, 1931, in Coatesville, PA; the son of the late Joseph and Mary Salchezky Nikodemski.

Joe graduated from Coatesville High School.

He served his country with honor in the United States Army in the Korean War where he was a prisoner of war and thankfully escaped. This displayed his determination and compassion to finish the race set before him.

He was married for 43 years to the love of his life, Antoinette Santalucia Nikodemski. They were married on September 1, 1979. Together, they created a strong foundation in their Lord throughout their marriage. He was a dedicated father in raising his children and grandchildren to be independent, confident, and strong-willed.

Joe was employed by Strick Corporation as a Plant Manager from 1978-1989 and later from Bro-Dart Industries from 1989 until he retired.

He was a member of Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, PA and was a proud member for life of the National Rifle Association.

Joe was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and any outdoors adventures he could find, especially at the cabin he loved. He had a passion for tinkering with just about anything including cars, wood or whatever he could fix or build. Joe was a great storyteller and loved a good conversation with coffee. He will be remembered as a kind and giving person; always willing to help others with his selfless heart. Joe was an avid animal person, especially enjoying his time with his faithful companion and fur nurse, Geppetto. Most important of all, he will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul with a loving heart for Jesus, his family and his friends, all of whom he adored.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two loving daughters; Erica Nikodemski of Minersville, PA and Celestial Klinger and her husband Robert of Watsontown, PA. Joe is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren, Bela Monet, Charleston Orion, Camden Joseph, Joseph and Ally and Brooke and her fiancé Chad, as well as two great-grandchildren; Brylee and Laynee. He is also survived by one brother; Richard Nikodemski and his wife Maurisa of Coatesville, PA and one sister Jayne Walters of Philadelphia, PA.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by one son; Jeffrey Nikodemski on November 8, 2022. He was also preceded in death by four brothers; Charles, Sonny, Eddie and Wally and two sisters; Lennie and Lottie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Joe’s Life to be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00PM in the Youth Center at Christ Wesleyan Church 363 Stamm Road, Milton, PA 17847 with the Reverend Arlie Davis officiating. Friends will be received from 12:30-1:45pm. Burial will be held in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm Road, Milton, PA 17847.
