Obituary For Joseph Frank Kaledas
Joseph Frank Kaledas, 61, of Danville PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He was born April 13, 1961, in Frackville PA, the son of the late William and Florence Brusiewski Kaledas.
Joe graduated from Cardinal Brennan High School in Ashland PA in 1979 and from Luzerne Community College in Nanticoke PA.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Debra Ann Barker Kaledas. They were married July 16, 1994.
Joe was employed by Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA as an Anesthesia Technician for 31 years.
He enjoyed flea markets, yard sales and antiquing. He also enjoyed hunting and occasionally taking a nap in the woods, resulting in him securing a medium size black bear which he was very proud of. Joe also enjoyed fireworks, vacations to Kansas and spending time with his family.
He will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and was always ready with a prank. Joe will be remembered by all for the “Big Kid at Heart” that he was and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his only daughter, Jennifer Keefer, and her husband Jeremy of Danville PA and three grandchildren; Sydney, Avery, and Hagen Keefer of Danville PA, all of whom he adored.
Also surviving are two brothers; William Kaledas and his wife Susie of Danville PA and Robert Kaledas and his wife Peggy of Boothwyn PA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Joseph’s Life to be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with Pastor Greg Molter officiating. Friends will be received from 10:30 until 11:45 AM. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville, PA.
