Obituaries

Joseph G. Cady, 84, of Danville PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 19, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center Danville PA. He was born November 17, 1939, in Norwich CT the son of the late Joseph and Cora Cleveland Cady.

Joseph was preceded by his first wife, Florence Reichard Cady on October 29, 1997, and by his second wife, Grace Zamboni Cady on March 4, 2024.

He served his country in the United States Marines Reserves.

Joseph was employed by Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA in the Logistics Department for many years.

He enjoyed playing cards, watching the Boston Celtics, the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. His other enjoyments included bowling, being a member of several leagues with his high game reaching 278. He also was an avid James Patterson fan. One of his greatest enjoyments in life was eating ice cream every night, especially Maple Walnut.

Joseph is survived by four stepchildren: Deborah Reichard, Pat Zamboni and her husband Mark, Gary Reichard and his wife Cheryl and James Reichard and his wife Lisa as well as six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 68 Center Street Danville PA with Father Timothy Marcoe as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Danville PA.

The family will provide flowers.
