Obituary For Joseph T. Wands

Joseph T. Wands, 68, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville. He was born on April 8, 1957, in Danville, PA, the son of the late Joseph Pursel and Bernice Elizabeth (Weidensaul) Wands.

Joseph graduated from Danville Area High School in 1975.

He worked for Penn Lyon Homes, Telecommunications and for Whitenight’s Farm Market and Greenhouse, Riverside, for many years delivering produce.

Joseph was a member of the Southside Fire Company, Riverside, PA.

Beyond his work, he lived a life full of adventure and simple pleasures. He found joy in the great outdoors, relishing in hunting and fishing, and was particularly fond of cultivating his vegetable garden. Joseph often took long car rides, with a special affection for trips to Canada, where he created countless beautiful memories. A passionate technology enthusiast, he also loved spending time on the computer, exploring new interests and connecting with friends and family online.

Joseph is survived by one brother; Ken Wands (Barb) of Buckhorn, PA and one sister; Linda Tollefson (Tom) of Michigan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Joseph is also survived by his devoted fiancé of 22 years, Roberta Marks.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Joseph’s Life to be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00AM, at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 W. Mahoning St., Danville, PA with Lee Crossley officiating. Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.

    Sad day for everyone that knew this fun loving friend. Joe had a special way of looking at things that were both hilarious and insightful. Too many memories to list but definitely a fun loving guy and a solid friend. My entire family and brothers will miss him
