Obituary For Judith A. Krum

Judith A. Krum, 86, of Danville PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Vintage Knolls, Danville. She was born April 25, 1937, in Danville PA the daughter of the late Robert X. and Evelyn Stohler Marks. She was also the stepdaughter of Minnie Marks.

Judy graduated from Danville High School in 1955.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Allen V. Krum, Sr. who was the owner/operator of Al Krum Motors on the Danville/Bloom Highway. They were married February 16, 1957.

Judy was the owner/operator of Judy’s Lampshades on the Danville/Bloomsburg Highway.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Danville PA where she faithfully served her Lord.

Judy enjoyed reading and loved flowers. In earlier years, she enjoyed camping with her husband and children and adored spending time with her grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor and contagious laugh. She will also be remembered for organizing Spring Carnivals in Riverside PA including bringing Hatchy Milatchy to Riverside for a parade.

She is survived by two sons: Allen Krum, Jr. and his companion Annie and Todd Krum and his wife Kellie McDowell Krum; both of Danville PA and one daughter, Lorrie Cave and her husband Mike of Georgia. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Christina Lichtner and her husband Matthew of Danville PA; Jennifer Finn and her husband Rob of Tennessee, Jessica Krum and her companion Ping of Florida, Vincent Krum, Isabel Krum and Ava Krum; all of Danville and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Thomas E. Marks from California. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert A. Marks, John S. Marks and Richard X. Marks.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Judy to be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church 12 Brookside Drive (off 642 E). Danville PA with the Reverend Dawes J. Dunham officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Burial will be held in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Grovania PA.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org.
