Kathleen Mary Streff, 78, of Elysburg, PA, passed away peacefully at Geisinger Medical Center surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 27, 2024. She was born February 18, 1946, in Philadelphia PA, the daughter of the late John J. and Alice G. Lentz Lowry.

She graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in 1964 and she received her associates degree from Community College of Philadelphia.

She was employed as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with Northwestern Human Services in Philadelphia for many years, from where she retired.

Kathleen was lovingly known as “Aunt Sis” by many who knew her.

A devoted and nurturing mother throughout her life, she treasured her family gatherings, especially the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and the family Crab and Seafood fest. Her family loved receiving matching Christmas pajamas from her each year and she was well known for her “butter cakes”. She loved vacationing in Wildwood, New Jersey with her family and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Eagles.

She will be remembered for her quick wit and her spunky personality. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spoiling her children and her grandchildren, all of whom she adored and will be missed dearly by them all.

Kathleen is survived by three daughters: Christine Allen and her husband John of Elysburg, PA; Kelly Streff of Elysburg, PA and Crystal Stegena and her husband Steven of Fairless Hills, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Timothy and Kimberly Allen, Alexandra Willhouse, Jacob Stegena and his fiancé Tori and Emily Stegena and one great-granddaughter, Claire. Several loving nieces and nephews also survive her.

She is also survived by one brother, John Lowry and his wife Kathy of Philadelphia PA and one sister, Jacqueline Sander of Trevose, PA. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Allen in 1986 and one brother and two sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:30am at Assumption BVM, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053. Friends will be received from 9:00AM-10:30AM. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
