Obituary For Kirk Alan Pfaff

Kirk Alan Pfaff, 37, of Danville PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA. He was born July 21, 1986, in Bloomsburg PA, the son of Chris Alan and Barbara Kay Marcus Pfaff.

Kirk always valued his homeschooling experience, graduating in 2005.

A talented chef, he was employed at various restaurants, including his first job at Ready-Go-Burrito in Bloomsburg PA where he enjoyed working alongside his siblings. His most recent place of employment was Mardi Gras in Danville PA.

A self-trained mycologist and a philosopher at heart, Kirk explored the dimensions of knowledge with fervor and passion, always seeking to enjoy the intricacies of nature and the universe surrounding him. Born out of deep intelligence, his selflessness knew no bounds, his concern for others deeply rooted in compassion. He touched lives with his kindness and left behind a trail of warmth. Kirk was an avid reader and very expressive in writing with his creative and satirical mind. A talented musician, he also enjoyed playing and listening to music.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kay Pfaff and her husband Eric Lightner of Haymarket VA, another sister, Gretchen Bloom and her husband Justin of Litiz PA, and his brother and best friend, Gregory Pfaff of Danville PA. He is also survived by his nephew, Ellis Anatolius Bloom, as well as several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Hubert “Hugh” Pfaff and Marion Rice Pfaff and his maternal grandparents, Calvin and Sarah Marcus.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Kirk’s Life to be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Bloomsburg Christian Church 107 Deussen Drive Bloomsburg PA with Linda L. Wagner, Celebrant officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Columbia Hill Cemetery.
