Obituary For Linda M. Turner

Linda M. Turner, 81 of Bloomsburg, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 10, 2025, at her residence. She was born June 8, 1944, in Bloomsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Lee E. and Thelma Kreisher Rarig.

Linda graduated from Southern Area Joint High School in Numidia, PA in 1962.

She was married to the love of her life, John L. Turner, for 62 years. They were married November 2, 1963.

A dedicated and hard worker, she worked at various places throughout her life. In more recent years, Linda was employed at Geisinger Medical Center in the Housekeeping Department and as a nursing assistant and housekeeper at Goldstar Nursing Home for many years. Linda also served on the Election Board of Derry Township until recently.

A faithful woman throughout her life, she was a member of the Numidia United Church of Christ, Washingtonville Lutheran Church and the Strawberry Ridge United Church of Christ. Linda was involved with many Stonecroft Bible Studies and loved to attend the Danville/Tri-County After 5 Club.

Linda will be remembered for her strength and resilience in fighting breast cancer.

More importantly, she will also be remembered for her selfless, non-judgmental personality, who always displayed unconditional love for her family and others. The greatest joy in Linda’s life was spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

Linda thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army Service Center in Bloomsburg, PA where she was honored recently for 15 years of service. She enjoyed ceramics, reading and listening to audio books.

She is survived by two daughters: Cynthia L. Day and her significant other, Clinton Davis of Bloomsburg, PA and Christine K. Koons and her husband, Michael of Danville, PA; six grandchildren: Amanda, Brittany, Kayla, Samantha, Robert and Matthew and four great-grandchildren, Brynlee, Harper, Matthew, Payton, and another great-grandchild expected in June.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to The Bloomsburg Salvation Army Service Center 345 Market Street Bloomsburg, PA with Montour County in the Memo.
