Marie E. Buck, 94, of Danville PA, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023 at Vintage Knolls Assisted Living in Danville, PA. She was born March 1, 1929, in Rush Township, PA the daughter of the late Frank Renninger and Leah Jane Reed Enterline.

She graduated from Danville High School in 1947.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Clinton “Jack” E. Buck. They were married on December 24, 1949.

During the time Marie was raising her family, she enjoyed driving the school bus and later was employed as a secretary at Geisinger Medical Center for 20 years, from where she retired.

Marie was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Danville, PA. She was also very active in the Montour County Republican Committee.

She was an avid bowler, achieving 300, which she was very proud of. She loved traveling with her husband across the United States of America where they enjoyed visiting casinos. One of her greatest enjoyments in life was participating in the Halloween parade each year. Alongside her sister, she made unique handmade costumes which brought much joy to many people.

Marie was well known for her fun-loving and uplifting spirit which will be remembered forever. Marie loved making new friends wherever life took her. She saw her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as her life’s greatest work and will be missed dearly by them all.

She is survived by three sons; David Buck and his wife Barbara of Danville, PA; Mark and his wife Jan of Danville and Alan Buck and his wife Diane of Colorado Springs CO and one daughter, Marlene M. Gunther and her husband Donald of Danville, PA. Also surviving are13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank Enterline, Jr., James Enterline and Carl Enterline and one sister, Margaret Herrold.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Marie’s Life to be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 784 Columbia Hill Road Danville, PA with Linda Wagner as funeral celebrant. Burial will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
