Obituary For Marsha W. Croll

Marsha Croll, 82, of Mill Hall, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville. She was born on March 29, 1942, in Philipsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Thomas Paul and Hilma (McGuire) Wood.

Marsha graduated from Lock Haven Area High School in 1960 and went on to graduate as an LPN from Centre County Vocational-Technical School in 1979.

She was married to the late Robert G. Croll. They were married on December 14, 1963, in Lock Haven, Pa.

Marsha was an LPN for 30, working at Geisinger in Lock Haven then Jersey Shore Hospital. She made many lifelong friends, who loved and treasured her dearly.

Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession and was most vividly reflected in her love for her family. Marsha's greatest joy stemmed from the time spent with her loved ones, particularly during family vacations in Ocean City, New Jersey, where her children dedicated a bench in honor of the enduring love shared between her and her late husband, Robert. In addition to her family, Marsha enjoyed gardening, supporting PSU athletics, and cheering on her grandchildren’s many sporting events. They were her pride and joy.

She is survived by one daughter; Lisa Croak and her husband, Richard of Danville and one son, Michael Croll and his wife Nanette of Milford, PA as well as four grandchildren; Troy Croak and his wife Kaitlin, Joshua, Seth, and Shannon Croll. Marsha is also survived by one great-grandson, Elliot Croak as well as one sister, Susan Wood of Sturbridge, MA and 5 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marsha was preceded in death by two sisters; Joan Hodge and Mary Lee Johnson.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745 or Mill Hall Volunteer Fire Company, 9 Peale Avenue, Mill Hall, PA 17751.

    Marsha was a special friend and have many fond memories sharing Penn State Sports,visiting and talking on her porch, enjoying her flowers. She was one of the home nurses we had to care for my sister Sylvia before she passed..were forever grateful for her care and company for Sylvia..She will be missed.
