Obituary For Maxine M. Rodenhaver

Maxine M. Rodenhaver, 86, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at her residence. She was born on May 6, 1939, in Danville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Earl and Mildred (Adams) McCloughan.

Maxine graduated from Danville Area High School in 1957 and went on to graduate from Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing in 1960.

Maxine worked as a dedicated registered nurse at Geisinger Medical Center for 41 years, retiring in 2001.

She was a lifelong member of Mahoning Presbyterian Church, Danville serving as elder and Clerk of Session. She was also a member of the Danville Elks Post 754, East End Fire Company and Harrisburg Polyclinic Nursing Association.

Maxine was an avid Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles and Penn State Football fan. She loved traveling, especially to Rehoboth Beach with her family, all of whom she adored.

Maxine will be remembered for her gentle soul who never complained. She was always available for her family and friends. She lived a life filled with love, compassion and unwavering strength, impacting all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by one son; Timothy J. Rodenhaver and his wife Wanda of Catawissa, PA and one daughter Tammy Rodenhaver and her husband Mark Boyce of Riverside, PA as well as one grandchild, Milan Rodenhaver of Marydel, Delaware, and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Miller of Catawissa, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Tara Rodenhaver in 2025 and one brother, Charles McCloughan in 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life walkthrough visitation to be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 4-6pm. Nursing rites will be accorded by SUN Nursing Honor Guard at 5:45 PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mahoning Presbyterian Church, 120 East Mahoning St., Danville, PA 17821.
