Obituary For Nancy F. Wintersteen

Nancy F. Wintersteen, 75, of Danville PA and formerly of Acton and Lexington, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 8, 2024, at Emmanuel Center Danville, Pennsylvania. She was born May 7, 1949, in Danville PA, the daughter of the late Robert J. and Marcella Ann McAndrew Fallon.

She graduated from Danville High School and from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in science. Nancy graduated cum laude from New England School of Law in Boston Massachusetts

Nancy was self-employed at the law firm Staples and Wintersteen as a defense attorney. Nancy was a vibrant spirit who dedicated her life to the pursuit of justice and the service of her community. Her tireless work ethic and her dedication became a symbol of inspiration for many, reflecting her profound belief in the power of justice and the importance of giving voice to the voiceless.

An avid outdoors person, she especially enjoyed kayaking and bicycling. She loved antiquing, traveling, listening to music, especially Jazz and the Blues, and was a creative crafter.

Nancy will be remembered for her humor and being a lifelong learner. She had a deep love for her friends, connecting with them whenever she could, and adored all of her family. She will be dearly missed and leaves behind a legacy of compassion and strength.

She is survived by one son, Eric C. Wintersteen and his wife Marielle of Littleton, MA and two grandsons: Aiden and Andrew, both of Littleton, MA.

Also surviving is one brother, Robert Fallon of Danville, PA and four sisters: Jeanie Albeck of Danville, PA; Mary Fallon-Shultz and her husband, Jeffrey of Danville, PA; Fran Mordan of Danville, PA and Katie Gatto of Dalton, PA as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grant MacNally in October of 2022 and her brother-in-law, Kim Mordan .

A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be private at the convenience of the family.
