Obituary For Patricia Ann Hoy

Patricia Ann Hoy, 79, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. She was born on May 4, 1945, in Sunbury PA, the daughter of the late John A. and Clara V. Snyder Lenig.

Pat was a graduate of Shamokin High School.

She was married to her devoted husband of 62 years, George E. Hoy, who survives.

Pat was a dedicated homemaker for most of her life. She also did home cleaning for many in the area.

She attended First Baptist Church of Danville, PA.

Pat loved teaching Bible Studies, teaching Vacation Bible School and loved being a teacher for the backyard Good News Clubs.

She will be remembered for her quick wit, selfless spirit and always helping others. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed.

She is survived by two sons: Timothy George Hoy of Carsonville, PA and Todd John Merle Hoy of Milton, PA; four grandchildren: Nicole, Kyle, Ryan and Ashley.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Good News Club, Inc. 53 Blue Hill Road, Northumberland, PA 17857.

    I'm praying for you Mr. George and your family. It's a true blessing to have known such a wonderful Christian mentor and friend. I really miss talking with her. You and Ms Pat have been a wonderful blessing to my family. I am so grateful you both helped us pick out our new home last year I will always love both of you!

    Her good friend Peg Woodhead and I are so sad to hear of this news. She was such a kind lady and such a good friend. She will be missed. We made sure to call her the day before her surgery to tell her we loved her. We will miss the phone calls and visits.
