Needless to say I was shocked when Darren gave me the sad news. Heaven won't be the same now as you were one of a kind my friend. I loved just listening to you tell stories. You were a great friend and co-worker - i love the nickname you gave me (half-pint) Don't think I ever told you. RIP

Hearing about this one was extremely tough! It can't be understated when it came to Hutch's character! He was one of those rarest of breeds that whether he knew you or not, if you walked by him, he would acknowledge or take time to chat! To him everyone was a human being, no one better than anyone else! I always said to him "us sunny dispositioned and people person guys hafta stick together" and he'd laugh! To my fellow Duke basketball fandom member and longtime friend - R.I.P. Hutch for the good that is God now has your goodness right nearby!

Even though we've rarely talked in many years, I still consider Paul one of my best friends. We were friends from elementary through high school and beyond. I loved to talk to him about his trout fishing and believe he was one of the best trout fishermen in the whole state. Going to his cabin with his dad is just one of the memories I will never forget. (Go bigfoot!) Riding with him on his Honda 3 wheeler and fishing in the neighbors creek are just a little of the fun we had when we were young. I will miss Paul greatly.

You are missed so much. You were one of the best..sons, brothers, and friends I will miss all our coffee or ice tea get togethers several times a week!! We went this morning and Bonnie bought an ice tea for you. Although you could not be with us in person, your drink was sitting on the table for you!! I miss you but will always remember your tales of hunting and fishing!! In closing—Sunday, Monday and Tuesday!!! RIP my dear friend.

God broke the mold when he made you Hutch. I guess he realized just how special you are that he wanted you back. I will miss your bragging posts, which of course were well deserved. Rest easy Pookie! 💗
