Richard W. Bartlett, 83, of Danville, PA; passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville, PA. He was born June 9, 1939, in Montgomery, PA., the son of the late Ardell and Ruth McQuay Bartlett.

Richard served his country with honor in the United States Army.

He was married to his devoted wife of 60 years, Shirley Nickles Bartlett. They were married on September 1, 1962.

He was employed by the Laurelton Center of Laurelton, PA doing various jobs.

Richard was a member of the Union County Sportsman Club.

He enjoyed taking walks through the mountains. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family.

Richard was a selfless, kindhearted man who would do anything for anyone in need.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one granddaughter; Ashley Rose Boop and two great-grandchildren; Roman and Reece Boop; one sister; Kate Reich and one brother; George Bartlett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter; Shirley Ann Cowher; three sisters; Beuleh Yoder, Emilene Vonada, and Pat Bunch; and one brother; Earl Bartlett.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
