Obituary For Ronald J. Ivey

Ronald J. “Ron” Ivey of Montgomery, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. He was born on October 22, 1966, in Shamokin, PA, the son of the late Joseph Ronald and Diana Hudson Ivey.

Ron graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Coal Township, PA and obtained an associate degree in the Electrical field at Penn Tech in Williamsport, PA.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Isabelle Marceau Ivey. They were married January 30, 2012.

Ron was employed as a car salesman for several dealerships throughout the area.

He loved cars and was an avid Notre Dame Football fan, traveling to many football games over the years. He will be remembered as a social butterfly with an incredible sense of humor, always making those around him laugh. He especially enjoyed seasonal camping with his wife and son.

Ron’s sense of humor, kindness, and unwavering support for his loved ones will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. Friends and family will cherish the countless memories made with Ron, from family gatherings to quiet evenings spent sharing stories and laughter.

He will be mostly remembered for his kindness and his dedication to his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Erin M. Ivey and her fiancé Adam of Hollidaysburg, PA and his son, Colin R. Ivey at home in Montgomery, PA. Also surviving is one brother, Tom Ivey and his wife Rhonda of Elysburg, PA and two sisters: Kathy Ivey of Trevorton, PA and Bridgette McPeak and her husband Rich of Sunbury, PA as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Ronald’s Life to be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA with Linda L. Wagner as celebrant. Friends will be received from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association online at www.mda.org.

    Dear Isabelle, Colin and family, Please accept our deepest and heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Ron. We enjoyed stopping at your campsite and Ron sharing his slushies with us, always with a smile. His presence will sorely be missed.
