Obituary For Ronald W. Wilson
Ronald Walter Wilson, 85, of Danville, PA, formerly of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 31, 2026. He was born on October 19, 1941, in Chester, Pennsylvania. Ron lived a life filled with faith, family, laughter, and love. He was a kindhearted man whose warm personality, gentle spirit, and unforgettable sense of humor brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Ron was deeply devoted to his faith and spent many years actively serving his church. Whether singing and conducting the choir, a member of the Men’s Quartet and serving as a deacon or simply offering a friendly smile and a kind word, he found great joy in being involved in his church community. His faith was an important part of his life, and his willingness to serve others left a lasting impression on those around him.
Ron worked for Sun Olin in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, for over 30 years, where he dedicated much of his working life.
One of Ron’s greatest gifts was his ability to make people laugh. His humor was often wonderfully random and unexpected, catching those around him off guard and bringing smiles when they were needed most. He had a special way of lightening the mood in almost any situation, and even in his final days, he never lost that playful sense of humor that made him so uniquely Ron. He reminded those around him that laughter is a gift, kindness matters, and the simplest moments often become our most treasured memories.
Ron found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed collecting unique and interesting rocks, taking family vacations to Disney World with his children, watching movies together, and spending time with the people he loved. He also enjoyed baking, especially his homemade banana bread and his famous shoofly pie, which became special treats his family will always remember. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and his church community.
Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marjorie Wilson, and his beloved family, including Robert Wilson and his children, Evan (Sarah) and Hannah; Wendy Hunt (Kevin) and their children, Connor (Abby), Brianna (Christian) and Christian; Michael Wilson (Rachael) and their children, Caleb and Ellie; Rebecca Naughton (Christopher) and their children, Grace, Aidan, and Faith; and Brenda Cooper (Jim) and their children, James and Lizzie, as well as one brother, Dennis Wilson; along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
Ron was truly one of a kind — the sort of person you don’t meet every day and never quite forget. He had a sweet and caring heart, a genuine love for others. Though he will be deeply missed, Ron’s spirit lives on in the laughter he inspired, the love he shared, the faith he demonstrated, and the countless memories held close by those who knew and loved him.
His laughter may be quiet now, but the joy he brought into this world will echo in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Ronald’s Life to be held on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11:30 AM at The Dwelling Place, 33 East Lancaster Avenue, Paoli, PA with Pastor Kenny Fisher officiating. Friends will be received from 10:30 AM- 11:15am. Burial will be private.
