Obituaries

Sally Louise Bruss, 83, of Julian, PA; passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, September 11, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. She was born September 15, 1939, in Bellefonte, PA, the daughter of the late Theodore D. and Marilyn J. Williams Rhodes.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles L. Bruss.

Sally is survived by four sons; Gerald (Delores) Bruss, Rodney Bruss, Timothy Bruss and Allen Bruss as well as two daughters; Jane (Ron) Reese, and Teresa (Philip) Windle. Her life will continue to be celebrated by her sixteen grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two brothers; Thomas (Ruth) Rhodes and Theodore (Juanita) Rhodes as well as five sisters; Linda (Richard) Maurer, Hazel (Linden) Miles, Doris (Robert) Bennett, Martha Deppe, and Beatrice (Rick) Reed as well as one brother-in-law, Chester Miles.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her beloved twin sister; Sylvia J. Miles and daughter in law; Polly A. (Murray) Bruss.

A Celebration of Sally’s Life will be held at a later date.
