Shannon Lee Hummel, 49, of Kulpmont, PA, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024, at her residence. She was born October 17, 1974, in Shamokin, PA, the daughter of the late Anna Jean Dorsett.

She graduated from Shamokin High School in 1993.

Shannon was married for 14 years to her devoted husband, Brian R. Hummel, who survives.

She was a devoted homemaker and mother all her life.

Shannon adored being outdoors in nature, especially mushroom foraging. She loved to sing and loved the beach and ocean. Her unwavering strength, determination, and fierce spirit were the pillars upon which her legacy was built. Shannon's light touched the lives of many, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Lance Kessler and his wife, Miranda of Bellefonte, PA and one daughter, Alexandra Kessler and her significant other, Curtis of Sagon, PA as well as one grandson, Leo Adams; all of whom she adored.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Randi Kopitsky in 2020.

A Celebration of Shannon’s Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The family requests that any donations could be made to the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. to cover her funeral expenses.
