Sharon L. Boyer, 79, of Danville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was born on May 31, 1946, in Columbus, OH, the daughter of the late Richard D. Jantzen.

Sharon graduated from Columbus West High School, Columbus, Ohio, in 1964.

She was married to the late Gerald D. Boyer, Jr., who preceded her in death on February 5, 2022. They were married on September 20, 1969.

Sharon worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Kenneth Heise, then went on to work for Geisinger Medical Center and Wal-Mart.

She was a former member of St. Joseph Church Choir, Danville for numerous years.

Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession into her personal life, where she found great joy in caring for her beloved pets, especially her Irish Wolfhounds and cats. Gardening was another passion, especially beautiful orchids.

She is survived by one daughter, Amanda (Boyer) Colegrove and her husband JonPaul of Valley View, PA as well as two grandchildren; Emma Shaffer and her boyfriend Caleb Fox and Zachary Boyer-Bankes of Sayre, PA. Sharon is also survived by one brother, Richard Jantzen of Florida.

A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held at a later date.
