Sherry P. Betts, 82, of Riverside PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence, on Sunday, September 21, 2025. She was born July 30, 1943, in Danville, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Mary McAllister Fasold.

Sherry graduated from Danville High School in 1961.

She was married for 63 years to Robert E. Betts, who survives. They were married July 26, 1962.

For 28 years, Sherry shared her passion for beauty as a talented florist alongside her husband, Bob, at Bird Florist in Riverside, retiring in 2004.

Sherry embraced the role of a devoted homemaker, pouring her love into her family through nurturing, baking and cooking. Her holiday meals, particularly her traditional Christmas Dinner, created lasting memories for all who were fortunate enough to share them.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Hawaii on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They thoroughly enjoyed trips to Canada with their children, an Alaskan Cruise and bus tours across the United States. Sherry was an avid Penn State Fan. The greatest joys in her life were her grandchildren, all of whom she adored.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son: Jeffrey R. Betts and his fiancé Holly Kaehn of Danville, PA and one daughter; Michele S. Betts and her fiancé, George Napp, both of Milton; her grandchildren: Chad, Sean, Sarah, Beth Ann and Nicole; and great-grandchildren: James, Mia and a great- granddaughter expected in October.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Sherry’s Life to be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 12:00 Noon at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville, PA with Linda L. Wagner as celebrant. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM. Burial will follow at Klinesgrove United Methodist Cemetery in Sunbury, PA.

The family will provide flowers. They would ask for an act of kindness to be extended to someone who you may know in her memory.
