Obituary For Sonia Ruth Rudolph

Sonia Ruth Rudolph, 51, of Louisville, KY, passed away on May 16, 2024, in Danville, Pennsylvania. She was born December 1, 1972, in Goldsboro, NC, the daughter of James William and Deborah Patrice King Cunningham.

Sonia graduated from Frankfurt High School and later from Bellarmine Nursing School in Louisville KY earning her Bachelor of Nursing degree. Her studies continued earning her Master of Nursing degree.

Sonia was employed by Jefferson Community and Technical College of Louisville KY as a Professor of Nursing. She was also a member of the State Board of Nursing.

With a master’s degree in hand, Sonia dedicated her life to the nursing industry and teaching, shaping the minds of future generations of healthcare professionals. Her passion for education and patient care shone brightly throughout her career, leaving a lasting impact on all she encountered.

Shewas an avid reader, loved traveling and watching movies. With her kind heart and compassionate soul, theextraordinary woman that Sonia was brought warmthand wisdom to all who knew her. She willbe dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son Tony Rudolph of Louisville KY and one brother, James Edward Cunningham and his wife Nadia and one nephew, Christopher Lincoln; all of Kuttawa KY.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

    An amazing nurse and addiction advocate. Sonia saved my life she was my clinician for the last 6 yrs she was so much more to me I'm deeply saddened by her passing and I'll never forget what she has done for me helping me get my recovery started. I'll miss u so much Doc ❤️❤️💔
