Susan Brown Falton, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville. She was born in Bloomsburg, PA on June 4, 1956, the daughter of the late Donald and Helen (Wilt) Brown, Sr. of Catawissa.

Susie attended Southern Columbia High School.

She enjoyed her career as a Psychiatric Aide at Danville State Hospital for over 20 years, from where she retired.

Although an early MS diagnosis robbed her of much of her physical mobility, Susie's bigger-than-life, feisty personality, sharp wit, and unique sense of humor was spread throughout the Grandview during her 26 years living there.

Susie lived life to the fullest. She remained active, and especially enjoyed Bingo, musical entertainment, holiday events, and the annual "Fall Festival". She took pride in looking her best with sparkling jewelry, hairbands, and loved the color purple. Susie loved all animals, especially dogs. She often talked about her beloved Scottie dog Cricket and enjoyed visits from her canine friend Molly. Because Susie’s faith was important to her, she attended weekly church services and Bible study and enjoyed regular visits from pastors.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her son, Tim Benscoter,several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her brother Donald Brown, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Catawissa, PA and three aunts: Patricia (Patrick) Keppler, Donna Vitale, and Norma Hinkleman; six grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family wishes to thank the Grandview East Wing Care Staff and Activities Department and Geisinger Hospice, for their care and concern.
