Thomas Patrick Flynn, 77, of Hop Bottom, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center Danville, PA. He was born April 12, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Edward and Rose Flynn.

He was self-employed as a mechanic for many years in Delaware County, PA.

Tom was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan. Like many of us, he had a love hate relationship with our beloved Eagles. He raced lawn mowers, loved to bowl and shoot darts. Tom was an avid hunter, builder and family man with the most cherished title of Pop-Pop. Always the life of the party, the first one on the dance floor and quick with a smile.

Tom is survived by his wife of 40+ years Mary Jean Steltz (Sangelo) formerly of Essington, PA. Together, MJ and Tom raised a blended family of 4 children - Jason (Sue), Jessica (Matt), Tommy (Mindy) and Brad (Sarah). Additionally he is survived by 8 Grandchildren - Ceire, Jake, Max, Marin, Jaiden, Lena, Nico and Everly. Also survived by his sister Carol and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ed (Sandy) and Pat (Doris).

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects to MJ and their kids on Saturday April 11, 2026 from 12 to 1pm. Immediately followed by a Celebration of Life to honor his wishes of sharing happy memories with laughs, stories and a good time. Both will be held at Charlotte’s Restaurant located at 3207 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square, PA.
