Obituary For Thomas W. Geise

Thomas Wesley Geise, 80, of Danville PA passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, PA. He was born June 13, 1944, in Danville PA, the son of the late Wilbur S. and Mary L. Boone Geise.

He graduated from Sunbury High School in 1964.

Tom was employed as an equipment operator for PP&L in Washingtonville, PA for 33 years, retiring in 2004.

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Danville, PA and was also a member of the Danville/Mahoning Lodge #224 F & AM.

In earlier years, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, deep sea fishing and hunting. He loved to travel, especially touring the National Parks, the northeast part of the United States, Alaska, and most recently, to Ireland. One of his favorite things was reconnecting with old classmates and lifelong friends.

Tom will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, thoughtfulness and his contagious smile.

His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Tom’s legacy as a caring and generous soul will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

He is survived by his life partner, Roberta Ann Coulter of Danville PA and two daughters: Melissa Fritchey and her husband Derick of Harrisburg PA and Elizabeth Rice and her husband David of Camp Hill PA. Also surviving are two grandsons: Carson James Etshied of Newport News VA and Parker Wiley Rice of Camp Hill PA, whom Tom was very proud of as they served their country and one granddaughter: Addison Sophia Rice of Camp Hill PA.

He was preceded in death by one grandson Mackenzie Patrick Mulroy in 2021.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Tom’s Life to be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Visneski Funeral Home, Inc. 42 West Mahoning Street Danville PA with Linda Wagner as celebrant. Friends will be received from 1:00 – 1:45 PM.

The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to Montour Area Recreation Commission MARC PO Box 456 Danville PA 17821.
